[music |just the sound of the dryer... which isnt all that pleasant!]

So I'm sick with the Flu again. Kinda Shitty. I started to feel sick on friday night. I went up to Phase 2 around 8 so i could hang out with my sweetie until he got off work. I had to leave mid visit and go pick up his radar detector from kursta's apartment. I had forgotton it in her car earlier that day. I made it back just a few mins after 10 and we were standing in the parking lot trying to decide if we were going to do anything this weekend. we thought about camping and stuff... but both agreed that with the rain/snow up north it wouldnt be all that fun and besides- it was sounding like a little more work than either of us wanted to tackle late on a friday night. we decided to just drive up to flagstaff and stay in hotels. (much less hassle... or so we thought!) so i followed him home and we packed really quick. locked up the dogs- put down shit loads of food and water for everyone... and headed out. it was about 11:30 when we left. got north up on the I-17 and were both hungry so we stopped at wendy's. less than an hour later i was really feeling like shit. wasnt quite sure if i was getting sick or what. we got into flagstaff at almost 2 am. we were looking for hotels and i mentioned that i thought it would be cool if we stayed at the same hotel that he and sandy stayed in back in june... he pulled over and told me to check out prices and shit. i went inside. freaky people running the place. i asked how much rooms were and he said for what kind of bed... and i said at least a double. he said well... i have only one room left with a double and it's $40/night. ok- i'll take it. after booking me with all the info (took the idiot a good half hour) he said- oh, by the way... the bathroom is across the hall from the room. UM, OK i said- i dont care since i wasnt feeling well at all... and I was tired. so i took it. i went out and told carl that we got a room... he parked we went inside. we went up to the room.... opened it and by double bed, the guy really meant double beds! there were twin bunk beds in the room. OMG i cant do this! we were so depressed. carl didnt like that the bathroom wasnt in the rooom... we went downstairs to see if i could get my money back. the guy was all OH! i didnt know there were bunk beds in that room, let me see if i have anything else. he moved us 4 rooms down to an actual double bed, a room with a TV, and the bathroom still across the hall. oh well. went to bed and in the morning we both took our AM pee pee in the hotel sink in our room. interesting to say the least. i was really having a hard time becuase i was so sick. we thought about coming home. we packed up, and headed out. we got almost to the freeway when i said, fuck it. lets get batteries for the digital camera and just try to have a good time anyways. we stopped at circle K, I bought batteries and we headed off to sunset crater. bought our day passes in the visitor center, and went a hiking. we hiked to the top of a volcano next to sunset crater and saw some awesome views. got some pictures, had a good time. next we drove all over inside of the state park and saw the painted desert etc. lots of stops. we saw some indian ruins, got more pictures, had a good time. we made it to the little colorado canyon at about 5 o clock. just in time for some more neat pictures. after picture taking, carl and i were talking about how massive that hole in the ground really was.... we decided to throw a rock into it. I scrounged around and found a nice rounded river rock, about 3 pounds in weight. we stood back, and carl heaved it in....it couldnt of hit in a better spot at the bottom. right on a flat boulder, and when that baby smacked, it shattered- causing a boom that echoed and made me feel so overwhelmed that i got horny from the thought. i had goose bumps all over my face from the sound it made. holy shit that was cool. I felt like a little kid, gotta do it again. we walked around gathering rocks in our arms. we must have collected about 15 rocks between the two of us. we heaved them in, taking turns... but none of them were quite as cool as the first. when we left there, we headed back to flagstaff for the night.got a hotel at some inn, a queen bed for 67.00.we walked to dinner.there was a 45 minute wait so we walked around town and found a little arcade. we went in and plunked in about 5.00 playing a cop shooter game, and a sniper riffle game. i attempted to play a knock off of dance dance revolution, but the game took my 1.00 and didnt play any music. kinda lame.we went back and had dinner at charlys- after all that the food sucked and was over priced. we walked over to coldstone and got ice creams. we ate and walked back to the hotel. it was 21 degrees that night and we froze while trying to eat ice cream and walk. back in the hotel we finished the coldstone, took a shower together and watched tv. i fell asleep and carl stayed up watching tv.sunday morning we checked out and headed across the street to get a picture of a train going through. we waited over an hour for a train when they were going through there every 10-15 mins. i went in and asked about it and they said there was a problem on the line and the trains were delayed.we decided to stop back later to get a picture. we parked in a parking garage downtown and walked aroud into little shops. bought a really yummy smelling slice of soap from a soap loaf, some bath beads, and a blown glass frog for carls mom. we headed back to take a picture of the train. this time we got lucky and we were standing there when 2 trains went by. massive. ground shaking, breathtakingly neat. i loved it. got some cool pictures too. we headed out of town, stopped at mormon lake and then headed on for the verde river... in the middle of no- where carl looks down at the gas gauge. shit, we're almost outta gas. we had about 20 miles max left in the trucks tank... it was at least a good 35 miles to anything. we contemplated what we would do without cell phone service etc. would we walk
? we'd need a solution before nightfall because we were not equipped to deal with the cold... good thing with about 10 miles left on the tank we came up to a little lodge that was closed, there was a lady there who pointed out that there was a gas station about 3 miles down the road. we got gas. :)
we headed through the rim and down a long ass dirt road tot he verde river and hot springs. we had intentions of going into the hot springs but you have to cross the river, and i cant swim and it was moving pretty fast. oh well. i did get to take a shit over the side of a rock though (really hard to do) and carl laughed at me the whole time. it was pretty funny. little black bugs were crawling up from the dirt onto my cooter. yuck. we headed back and made it home at about 8:30 last night. had a blast.. oh, and I left out a shit load of details:) i gotta go to work... at this rate I'll be late.
